The UK Drum Show website
September 23rd & 24th 2017 will see the launch of The UK Drum Show, organized by Neil Golding of Gold Media and Events Ltd, who parted company with Future Publishing at the end of the London Drum Show this weekend.
Neil, who was responsible for the launch of the London Drum Show seven years ago, including organizing main stage artists and exhibitors says: 'I have enjoyed running this event for the past seven years in London, both with Oyster House Publishing and then Blaze Publishing, and I wish Future Publishing well. On a personal level, I seek a new audience with a show based more centrally in the UK, where I’m looking to create a stable environment, providing a dedicated drum show for the next generation of drummers and percussionists.'
Accompanying Neil to Manchester is friend and new business partner, Mike Dolbear of MikeDolbear.com who adds,’ I have worked with Neil for many years now and together we have enjoyed the success and challenges of organizing consumer shows. For both Neil and I, working within the drumming community is a passion and privilege and we look forward to adding different aspirations to the new show over the coming years”
In addition to existing partnerships, Alex Lindley and Phil ‘Pesky’ Westwood, who have been the organizers of the very popular, Manchester Drum Show for the past 3 years, will also be joining forces with Golding to make The UK Drum Show the biggest and best show in the UK. News of the announcement to launch a show in Manchester has been warmly welcomed by both Alex and Phil and to have their support is a privilege, especially given their vast local knowledge and expertise.
Joining Golding is Martin Oldham of Drum Tech Support. Martin has been a key figure backstage in the industry for many years and is the unsung hero of the running of both backstage and the main stage at the London Drum Show. Having Martin joining the team is of paramount importance, as the set-up and stage management that Martin brings to the show is respected throughout the industry, with his services in demand from numerous high profile artists.
Work has already begun on creating a truly stellar line-up for next year and news of confirmed artists will be announced via MikeDolbear.com and the uk drumshow.com. Already confirmed as part of next year’s line-up are Thomas Lang, Craig Blundell and Michael Schack. All artists are presented to The UK Drum Show by Roland UK and in association with Vic Firth drum sticks (Thomas Lang and Michael Schack) and Vater drum sticks (Craig Blundell). Several proposals have already been sent to a number of artists with regards to next years show, so look forward to further announcements in the coming weeks.
